Students who live in the Exton area have access to some of the best schools in the state of Pennsylvania. When Pennsylvania high schools were ranked by 2014 SAT scores, the greater Exton region was home to four of the top fifty schools: Downingtown STEM Academy, Conestoga High School, Great Valley High School, and West Chester Henderson High School.
Great Valley High School and Downingtown STEM Academy were both nationally recognized medalists in the US News Best High Schools 2015 Rankings. Based on 2013-2014 school year scores, STEM Academy’s Pennsylvania School Performance Profile Building Level Academic Scores were once again the highest in the state. Of the 52 public schools in the 5 school districts in the greater Exton area, the combined score – excellence in education plus extra credit for advanced achievement – was high in 95% for 10 schools and 90-95% for an additional 26 schools.
Other educational opportunities include alternative public education options for students with different learning needs, charter schools, cyber schools, homeschooling networks, online learning opportunities for those pursuing a degree and those who are life-long learners, parochial schools in the Philadelphia archdiocese, preschools, private day schools and boarding schools, vocational training centers, and seven colleges and universities with a campus in the region.
