LANCASTER, PA (March 30, 2021) – To more holistically serve the tax needs of its clients, RKL LLP welcomed two experienced professionals – Michael R. Bannasch, CPA, MST, and Kirsten T. Deeds, MBA – to the firm earlier this month to lead its State and Local Tax and International Tax practices, respectively.

Michael Bannasch brings to his new role at RKL nearly two decades of public accounting experience, most of which centered on state and local tax consulting. He specializes in nexus studies, reverse sales/use tax audits, apportionment sourcing analyses, audit representation and M&A due diligence. He belongs to the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and is an active member of the Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants. Bannasch holds a B.A. in Accounting and Business Administration from Spring Arbor University and an M.S. in Taxation from Grand Valley State University. He resides in Spring Arbor, MI with his two children.
Throughout her 17-year career in international tax, Kirsten Deeds worked in a variety of industries, including manufacturing, logistics and finance. She specializes in U.S. taxation of foreign earnings, transfer pricing, U.S. and Canadian compliance and accounting for income taxes. Deeds holds a B.S. in International Business from Elizabethtown College and an M.B.A. from Alvernia University. She resides in Elizabethtown, PA with her husband and daughter.
