June Membership Luncheon honoring non-profits announced

EXTON — May 18, 2017 – Non-Profit Organizations are a vital part of every community. They provide much needed services to underserved, at-risk, marginalized, and challenged populations. On June 6, 2017 The Exton Region Chamber of Commerce is having a luncheon to lift up their member Non-Profit Organizations, and shine a bright light on exactly how these entities impact our region.

The Luncheon, titled Stories from the Heart: social responsibility starts with a story, will feature participants who have received services and whose lives have been changed by regional non-profits. Non-Profit organizations work tirelessly with strict budgets, minimal resources, and staff who wear many hats. Their impact is felt, not only for the individuals they serve, but in the greater community as well. If a participant can utilize a non-profit to improve their life, that individual will contribute to the economic well-being of a community. The chamber requested a story from each member non-profit to be considered as a speaker at the luncheon.    The committee chose four stories to that will be shared at the luncheon. Home of the Sparrow, Adult Care of Chester County, Chester County Council, Boy Scouts of America and Lionville Community YMCA will speak, but all submitted stories will be printed in a pamphlet takeaway for attendee to read at a later time.

The mission of the Non-Profit Council of the ERCC is to enhance and contribute to the quality of life in Exton community by assisting in the growth and development of its Non-Profit Organizations.  The ERCC business community is drawn to supporting non-profit organizations to foster their organizations mission to helping the entire community by helping the non-profit organization.
